Download Calibre Free for Windows – Calibre is a program dedicated to e-book management on computers. Like a library, we can sort the e-book according to the title, author, size, date, etc. so as to facilitate the search. We can also add categories and comments to the e-book. In addition, Caliber can find e-book metadata based on a title, author, or book number information via an internet connection. This app is an open-source and freeware library management application for managing collections in the form of e-books or electronic books.

This application was developed by Kovid Goyal and began publishing on October 31, 2006, under the name SONY PRS-500, the first reader-based e-ink (electric ink) to be sold commercially in the United States. Initially, the PRS-500 could not run on the Linux operating system but after this application developer reverse engineer the USB protocol, it finally worked well.

Then the PRS-500 was applied to the mobileread.com website and was named libprs500. Only in mid-2008, the name libprs500 was replaced with the name caliber with a slight change in the graphical interface to make it easier to use and also add a converter to the LRF format.
